The German Design Award, one of the most important and internationally recognised prizes in the design world, has selected the AMIKA pellet stove with the new SCHOTT ROBAX® NightView ceramic glass to participate in this year's competition in the Excellent Product Design category.
The AMIKA is a ventilated airtight pellet stove that stands out for its clean and elegant design: its round shape, tempered steel front cladding and elegant tiled top, available in burgundy, white, black and stone, make this product an extremely versatile solution that fits every space and style in your home. For 2020, this model has also been enhanced with an interesting new accessory: the SCHOTT ROBAX® NightView ceramic glass. This innovative solution, developed and produced by SCHOTT, one of the leading manufacturers of ceramic glass for stoves and fireplaces, and tested in cooperation with La Nordica-Extraflame, creates a new flame concept for pellets: when the stove is in operation it guarantees a calmer and more pleasant fire while, when the stove is switched off, it makes the combustion chamber invisible thanks to a completely black and shiny surface.
The combination of these two elements, the stove and the ceramic glass, led to an interesting result, both functionally and aesthetically, so much so that the project was selected and nominated to participate in the Excellent Product Design category at the German Design Award 2021, one of the most recognised and important awards in the international design world.
